And so I look outside this morning, and what do I see?

Mother Nature is mocking me, I know,

Because that is a healthy fresh batch of snow!"

I’ve moved from a moderated climate, you see,

And so I look outside this morning, and what do I see?

Mother Nature is mocking me, I know,

Because that is a healthy fresh batch of snow!

I’m not used to so much of this stuff,

Even though this fairyland view I can’t get enough,

Everything sprinkled all white and so pretty,

But I’m fully aware the temperature out there is quite chilly.

But here’s where Mother Nature is having a laugh,

As I check the locational weather bar graph,

Where I used live is now having record snow,

An unusual occurrence, I’d like you to know.

Maybe Mother Nature doesn’t want me to feel bad,

Or get all freaked out, or feel a little sad,

Because I am not used to so much of this snow,

She also dusted my old city and giving it a go.

All I can tell you is that this is quite new,

To see so much of the white stuff in my current view,

But as long as I don’t have to drive or go anywhere,

Being snowed in today, well, I don’t really care.

I’m quite happy just staring out at this beautiful view,

I wish I could share it right now with you,

For it is breathtaking with everything all dressed in white,

The sun has produced dancing sparkles, what a sight!

I am just so grateful this beauty’s in front of me,

This fairytale topography is quite a sight to see,

And I am very happy to just stay inside and warm,

In my new little home, after last night’s snow storm.
