Sometimes I Need A Vacation

Sometimes I Need A Vacation
Sometimes I need a vacation,
From speaking out some days,
From putting up a post on my blog,
And not sharing my words or ways.
Some days I just like to be silent,
And to quietly exist in my day,
Even if I still may be writing,
And my stories are still at play.
I may be penning my poems,
Or dreaming up new things,
But some days I just keep it all to myself,
Nurturing my own heartstrings.
I like to silently feed my soul,
And weave my dreams into thoughts,
And write them down to view them,
And digest what I like...or not.
And yet I do not share these moments,
Or send my words out into the world,
I just stay in my own space penning,
Often in my chair all snuggly and curled.
I write what I like and when,
Get my private thoughts into order,
And then put them down and covet them,
I'm definitely a wordsmith hoarder!
Thousands of works I write,
Many never see the public light of day,
Because I write some things just for me,
Or, I'm on a public-sharing vacay.
I just simply live while creating,
Quietly out of public sight,
Living within my passion for writing,
My heart and fingers bursting in flight.
And so, dear readers, please excuse,
When you have not heard from me again,
For I am still here and writing,
And will surface when I've rested my pen.
